Nidhika Shankar showcased her latest collection- The Red Phase at #LMIFWSS20. Her outfits are an amalgamation of oriental and western ideas to add the inner beauty and mystique of the female form.

Her contemporary Indian designs are modern in its form and Indian in its mode of expression, with colors and embroideries. Her role as a fashion designer are more than just making outfits. She feels a moral obligation of keeping India’s ancient heritage of fine craftsmanship alive for prosperity.
Her collection is a celebration of beauty, style, femininity, individuality and sensuousness. Simple cuts, luxurious feminine fluid fabrics, rustics to smattering bright color palette and intricate and exquisite hand embroidery is her signature.

The concept behind this collection is to celebrate and embrace womanhood. The designs have been projected in a way that they represent different phases of a woman\’s life. From a young girl to a strong woman.The entire collection revolves around 2 colors- Red and White.

White represents a girl child, who has just stepped out of her shell. The fabrics used are soft and flowing ones to showcase a naive and tender soul.

The next stage is an amalgamation of red and white, which accounts for a teenager who is steeping into adulthood. She is timid and shy, trying to accept the changes in her body. It is about her quest to accept the inner changes and embrace it.

The final transformation takes place when she becomes a fierce and strong headed women.This stage is represented by structured and Collared jackets red in color, to depict the powerful woman who accepts the power of a healthy period and the power of red.
