Love Aaj Kal- Ayushi and Aryan\’s dreamy wedding!
An IIM graduate who was in love with the idea of marriage and planned her own big day. Ayushi and Aryan met through an arranged setup and instantly hit it off. Here is a glimpse of their beautiful dreamy wedding.
Bride says- \’Since childhood, I have been very fascinated with the concept of marriage and weddings. Till the D-day actually arrived, I wasn’t able to believe that I am getting married. Even, today sometimes I don’t feel like I am somebody’s wife. I think that’s the best thing about Aryan, my husband, he has always treated me as a friend. We met through our parents and luckily they gave us enough time to understand and know each other. And, until very late Aryan and I never asked each other questions that a typical arranged marriage would comprise of. We just went with the flow and everything kept settling in, falling in the right place.
I was very enthusiastic about the whole wedding thing and Aryan left almost all the decisions on me (mixed feeling about that one!) My brother helped me a lot to plan and implement the wedding.\’
Engagement:
The couple got engaged in mega ballroom style at The Leela Palace, New Delhi. The theme of the room was also created in the same way, with chandeliers, bouquets of roses, dance floor, a life size hash tag and soulful live music. Ayushi wore a beautiful red gown from Neeta Lulla, with diamond jewelry and a dazzling tiara, which completed her look. Aryan wore a red Tuxedo, from Giorgio Armani to go with the red and golden theme of the room.
Mehendi:
For Mehendi, Ayushi wore a multi colored lehenga with multiple stripes and statement tassels, designed by Gazal Gupta and paired them with juttis from Rohan Arora, saying ‘Pataka Dulhan.’ The color theme of the function was largely Tiffany blue with a tint of pink floral. She made a special entry with her dad with Dilbaro as the background score.
Godh Bharai:
Ayushi wore a beautiful saree from Rabani and Rakha. Her look was simple and minimalistic, with soft smokey eyes and open hair paired with a maang tikka and a diamond choker .
Bridesmaid\’s Get Together:
It’s said that a bride cannot do it, without her girls. So, few months before the wedding, Ayushi gifted her squad with an outfit and a bridesmaid hamper proposing to them to be a part of her brigade for the wedding. On the wedding day, all of them dressed up in similar pink sarees and Ayushi wore a red one. It was a dreamy moment for Ayushi and her tribe.
Sangeet:
The theme of the Sangeet was eleven heavens. Every performance took place with a different background and feel, such as Paris, Greece, Rome, India, Switzerland and many more. The theme was created in a way that the whole family keeps searching for the girl in all the countries but finally the groom finds her in India. Ayushi chose an indo western wear from Dolly J, which was baby pink in color and Aryan paired it with a white Tuxedo and a bow.
Wedding:
The wedding was done in full royal theme. The varmala was done in a way that depicted gods getting married, Krishna and Radha (bride\’s favourite love story)
Ayushi wore a gorgeous Tarun Tahiliani lehenga for her big day. She paired it with an elaborate matha patti, a layered necklace and long jhumkas. She even wore a baju bandh and a hath phool in her hands.
The royal entry of our bride and groom.

Some valuable inputs by the bride for bride\’s to be:
I made sure that I pick up all designer wear and outfits, which have very delicate work as I am not a big fan of scattered or big patches on the outfit. Similarly, for my jewelry and accessories. My mother was there for me all the time and a lot of credit goes to her for my looks and how everything turned out. Mom is actually a girl’s best friend. Also, pick your wedding photographer very smartly; someone who knows you and is ready to give a personal touch is the best. The biggest piece of advice I can give is that no matter how much you plan, things will go wrong and they should (for interesting stories!) but the important thing is to remember to be calm and see your wedding as a celebration of two families coming together above all.
Feedback by the bride- Shaadi Fever is actually a great platform if you are getting married. I love their Instagram page and lot of ideas did crop up to me for my wedding from there.
