Insights from \’Samuh Vivah\’ hosted by Ambani Family
Nita Ambani and Mukesh Ambani\’s younger son, Anant Ambani, is set to marry Radhika Merchant on July 12, 2024, in a grand wedding. As part of the pre-wedding celebrations, their family organized a \’Samuh Vivah\’ (mass wedding) for more than 50 underprivileged couples from the Palghar region, located 100 km from Mumbai. This event was designed to bestow blessings on the soon-to-be-married couple, Anant and Radhika.
Glimpses from the Mass Wedding at Reliance Corporate Park
The celebration of the mass wedding took place on July 2, 2024, at the Reliance Corporate Park. About 800 people, representing the families of the couples getting married, attended the event. A grand dinner was organized for all the attendees. Nita and Mukesh Ji, along with their family members, graced the function to extend their heartfelt wishes to the couples. The couple entered the venue with folded hands, greeting everyone present.

Nita Ambani was seen chanting mantras during the function while seated beside her husband, Mukesh. For the event, Nita looked regal in a red saree featuring golden birdies on the border and shlokas on the pallu. She completed her look with a matching blouse and traditional jewelry, including a broad necklace, matching earrings, and red bangles. Her glam makeup, bold eyes, red lipstick, and bun hairdo added to her elegant appearance.
Special Dance Performance at the Mass Wedding
A traditional \’Tarpa Dance\’ performed by the Warli Tribe was a special highlight of the event. The venue was beautifully decorated with flower garlands, and the couples wore traditional ensembles for the wedding, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Generous Gifts for the Couples
Each couple received gold ornaments, including a mangalsutra, wedding rings, and nose rings. They were also gifted silver ornaments like toe rings and anklets. Each bride received a cheque of Rs. 1.01 lakh as her streedhan. Additionally, the couples were gifted grocery and household items sufficient for one year, including 36 essential items, utensils, appliances such as a gas stove, mixer, and fan, as well as a mattress and pillows.
